UNAIR NEWS – Arinda Nurhasanah, a student of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine (FPK) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) a gold medal in Taekwondo Championship for Semarang Police Chief Perpetual Trophy. The competition was held on April 27-28 2019 in GOR Pandanaran, Semarang.
There were about six hundred participants from children aged five to ten years, students, to college students. As a member of Taekwondo club (UKM), Arinda was one of UNAIR’s representatives in the national championship.
Arinda said that she practiced almost every day for two months, three times a day. She went jogging in the morning, technical training in the afternoon, and sparring matches in the evening. Arinda practiced a lot to win the gold medal for UNAIR.
“During competition is just how to keep calm before the match and during matches,” Arinda said.
Arinda also emphasized one of the things that are very important in a match is to obey every advice from the coach. Arinda also has the principle to persevere during matches.
Arinda had her shares of boredom and fatigue during her struggle. But Arinda doesn’t just give up. She was motivated words saying ‘You have been tired of training and managed your time, going home from a championship, you must bring victory.’
“There is always worry. But my parents always support my activities, especially Taekwondo, “Arinda said about parents’ support.
Arinda’s spirit and her obedience to the coach during the training led her to victory for UNAIR. Arinda advised UKM Taekwondo members to take part in the championship and make as many achievements as possible.
