UNAIR NEWS – Election of East Java Anti-Drug Abuse Ambassador held by National Anti-Drug Abuse Movement (GRANAT) East Java has awarded three students of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) as the winners. They are Indira Alaika (Information and library science) as the second winner female; Lucky Christian (Communication science) third winner male; and Fadhilah Intan (Communication science) 3rd winner female.

Following the election of East Java Anti-Drug Abuse Ambassadors is not an easy matter, especially for students class 2016 who have no basics about drugs.
However, it does not make Dhila feel discouraged. During the quarantine, the finalist of Top 9 Rising Star of Indonesia 2 has high spirits to learn various things about drugs.
“As a participant, I learned a lot about drugs, what the drugs are, the types, the spread, and the case. Also, understanding drugs from health and legal aspects, ” she said.
“Not all of the participants were students. Some were already doctors. And, some were already working. There were a lot of participants because it covers East Java, ” she added.
While attending a short quarantine for two days, the participants received materials from the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), Police, and Beauty Class. After becoming Ambassador I or II, the Ambassadors have an obligation to conduct drug-related campaign and such.
“Do not ever try to use drugs. Because, both the addict and the victim started from trying, following friends. There are still a lot of positive activities that can be done besides taking drugs, ” she said.
“Moreover, it is evident that the drug has more negative effects than positive effects. In fact, in my opinion, there is no positive things from it at all, “added Dhila. (*)
