(23/5/2023) | Faculty of Law, Airlangga University, is one of the best law faculties in Indonesia and is a law faculty whose name is known internationally. Therefore UNAIR Faculty of Law collaborates with several law faculties in other countries to establish ties. Last Monday (15/5/2023), FH UNAIR had the opportunity to attend the Legal Breakfast Network event which was held at the Indonesian Embassy in Canberra, Australia. UNAIR FH who attended the activity were Dr. M. Syaiful Aris as Deputy Dean II, who is engaged in the field of finance and human resources for the faculty and Dr. Maradona, S.H., LL.M. as Deputy Dean III, which is engaged in the fields of collaboration, research, innovation, and community service.
Apart from FH UNAIR, several representatives of other law universities in Indonesia participated in this activity, all of which were members of the Cooperation Board of the Faculty of Law for State Universities (BKS-FH PTN). Also present were deans from 10 tertiary institutions that are members of the Council of Australian Law School Deans, including the University of Canberra, Monash University, and the University of Melbourne.
In this meeting, the Faculty of Law UNAIR promoted programs in the Faculty of Law UNAIR so that the progress of the Faculty of Law UNAIR will fly higher in the international arena. This meeting also discussed research collaboration and student and lecturer exchanges to improve law faculty education’s quality further.
The long-established cooperative relationship between Indonesia and Australia is the key to continuing to forge a friendship. With this meeting, much information was conveyed to support the quality of education, especially in the field of law, so this meeting was a good step in the relations between the two countries. It is hoped that this collaboration will not only be a short-term action but, in the future, it can also continue so that several other international state universities can recognize the advantages possessed by FH UNAIR and vice versa.
“Shortly several universities in Australia will come directly to FH UNAIR to discuss further the technical implementation of the cooperative relationship that we are building,” said Dr. Maradona when met by the PR team of FH UNAIR.
