UNAIR NEWS – Wednesday, November 15, 2017 became the first milestone in the management of Student Family (KM) of Off Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) Universitas Airlangga in Banyuwangi. Muhammad Bayu Alfian and Bondan Sigit Purnomo Aji were appointed to lead the student parent organization PSDKU UNAIR in Banyuwangi.

To UNAIR NEWS the head of KM who is familiarly called Bayu said that the student organization KM PSDKU UNAIR in Banyuwangi has been formed since PSDKU UNAIR establishment. However, added Bayu, at that time the position of KM PSDKU UNAIR in Banyuwangi was still in the same level with other student organizations.

“Previously, both KM and other organizations were parallel. Then, after 2017, according to the Rector’s Decree, KM then becomes the parent organization that regulates various student affairs in PSDKU UNAIR in Banyuwangi, “explained the accounting student.

Furthermore, asked about the excellent programs that exist in the organization he leads, the native Banyuwangi student said that the village assistance by KM PSDKU UNAIR in Banyuwangi would be one of the leading work program. Indeed, he added, so far the village assistance program has been done by some other organizations from PSDKU UNAIR in Banyuwangi. But, in his stewardship, Bayu was determined to integrate the village assistance program into one.

“Because, all this time, village assistance have been in each student association. I want the them coordinated by this KM organization so they can accomodate all students across disciplines. The goal is to make the program have greater and better role, “he said.

Meanwhile, Bondan, the deputy, said that he wanted to optimize the role of KM amidst the students, because some students believed that its role before has never been optimal.

“That is why, I came up with the name of Cabinet “Present” (Kabinet Ada) in this stewardship. The goal, is none other so that the role of KM is really felt by all elements of students, “explained students from Kebumen, Central Java.

Therefore, in an effort to give KM a more optimal role among students, in addition to optimizing the superior program of the target villages, Bondan said that in the future according to the promise they made in the campaigns, they will optimize the role of the web. It is considered as one of the media for openness in guarding information and issues surrounding PSDKU UNAIR in Banyuwangi.

“It departs from last year that many students asked about the Airlangga Organization Forum which is not monitored. Through this web role, in the future we can monitor the information and it can be accessed by the public, “he explained. “After all , this is the digital age. It means the good and the bad of an organization can also be viewed from the web page presented, “he said.
