Encouraging Students to Write, SKIners FKP Hold KTI Workshop

UNAIR NEWS – SKIners (Nursing Islamic Division) Faculty of Nursing (FKP) Universitas Airlangga held a “Workshop on Writing Quranic Paper” or abbreviated “Laskar Al-Qur’an“. The new work program carried by the scientific department which would like to introduce scientific writing competition of Al-Qur’an (LKTI-A). It also introduced other categories of competition in Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ). It was held early March and according to Neli Widi Astuti of the committee, there was no certain theme.

“We did not specify the theme. But, we focused on writing workshop on scientific papers of Al-Qur’an and about MTQ there will be selection by Universitas Airlangga not for long, ” she said.

Neli added that the work program of SKIners Department of FKP UNAIR is a new work program and was initiated by Deni Yasmara, S.Kep.Ns., M.Kep, one of the lecturers at FKP UNAIR. Hopefully, SKIners can publish well in the MTQ competition to attract talented and interested students, especially in FKP. To meet the target, three speakers were invited to the event.

“We invited Mar’atus Solihah, S.Kep., As a speaker of KTI-A workshop who is also taking master’s degree here. The other two speakers were Fatatin Nazhifah and Novindah Nalaratih. Both are also members of Religious Arts Club UNAIR and they explained matters related MTQ, “said Neli.

Workshop in RK. SC. Roy Third Floor 3 FKP was constrained due to rain. Opened with the tilawatil Qur’an by Dzakkiyul, the workshop was continued with a post test on LKTI-A and MTQ. Participants were also asked to make their own title of LKTI-A and asked to elaborate and relate the subject with verses of the Qur’an. There is little difference when working on LKTI-A.

“If LKTI, the references are from the general thing in the environment, while LKTI-A is about social life associated with the content of the Qur’an. Although, it has or has not been scientifically proven, “said Neli.

The committee expected the workshop to become an annual agenda and gain more popularity among students from other faculties.
