UNAIR NEWS – The State University National Admission Selection (SNMPTN) result has been announced Tuesday afternoon, April 18. Universitas Airlangga accepted 1658 new students. It is from selected 610 SMA / SMK in Indonesia. From the prospective students, 370 of them are receiving Bidikmisi tuition fees.
UNAIR through the SNMPTN line had 31,235 registrants. 3,553 of them are Bidikmisi registrants.
In front of the media, Rector of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Moh. Nasih said that there is still one more step for prospective students to be declared as UNAIR students. The step is to verify factual data related to their factual condition especially prospective students receiving Bidikmisi.
For Bidikmisi student candidates, if they pass the verification phase, they are accepted as students receiving Bidikmisi. If not, then the students still accepted but had to pay college fees according the SOP.
“The status as a student is accepted, but the status as recipient of bidikmisi is not necessarily acknowledged. We will verify it first, “said the rector.
After the announcement, prospective students accepted through SNMPTN are encouraged to attend the selected universities. Simultaneously, participants are recommended for re-registration. Implementation of the re-register of SNMPTN line simultaneously conducted on May 8, 2018 coincides with the selection of SBMPTN lines.
If prospective students do not come to re-register, it indicates that the they are following another selection. It means they waste the opportunity to study at the universities. Upon this concession, the school will be blacklisted and the participants are considered resigning.
“For those already accepted, there is no prohibition to participate (another selection, ed). But if they do not come (re-registration, ed), they are considered resigning, their seriousness is questionable and their schools will be affected, “explained the rector.
On that occasion, Prof. Nasih congratulated the students who have been accepted. For those who have not been accepted, he expected them not to give up because there are still other opportunities to enroll in UNAIR.
“For those who have not received, there are still opportunities in the SBMPTN and Independent lines,” he said.
At the end, to prospective students who have been accepted, Nasih appealed to be more careful in reading the procedure. Any requirements for re-registration can be viewed on their respective PTN page. At UNAIR, prospective students can access through http://regmaba.unair.ac.id/ .
“Read the procedure carefully. Immediately complete them because 25th April is not very far, “he said. (*)
