UNAIR NEWS – Career fair is a way to find career. To facilitate jobseekers, Career and Entrepreneurship Development Center Universitas Airlangga(PPKK UNAIR) held Airlangga Career Fair XXVVI 2016. It was held from March 31 to April 2 in Airlangga Convention Center.
Since the opening, thousands jobseekers crowd the stands of corporations in ACF. This ACF was attended by many state-owned companies (BUMN), regional state companies (BUMD), and private companies. Some of them were Bank Indonesia, PT Angkasa Pura, PT Kereta Api Indonesia, Bank BTN, PT Bank CIMB NIAGA, Tbk, Bank Bukopin, Bank BTPN, Mandiri, PT Blue Bird, Tbk, PERURI, PT Bank Central Asia, Tbk, Jawa Pos, and many other companies.
The fair was also attended by scholarship and entrepreneurship provider institution. Some of them were Adlink + Connex, Sun Education, IDP Education, Taiwan Education Center (TEC), Caraka Mulia, DAAD, Education USA, AUG Student Services, Japanese General Consulate and IFI.
The ACF opening was attended by Vice Rector III UNAIR, directors, deans, head of institutes and units in UNAIR and also sponsors of ACF 2016. Dr. drg. Elly Munadzirah, M.S., as the Head of PPKK UNAIR in her speech hoped that UNAIR graduates can meet the requirements needed by the companies.
“I hope that cooperation between UNAIR and those companies and scholarship providers can be maintained. And even better if it can be expanded,” said Elly.
Wiwik Widayanti as Executive Vice President Operational Area 8 PT. KAI hoped that through ACF hosted by UNAIR, their need on human resources can be fulfilled.
“May this event be the connector between the companies and universities. We hoped that universities can provide human resources. Hopefully the cooperation between KAI and UNAIR can be maintained well and even improved to various sectors,” said Wiwik.
Vice Rector III Prof. Mochammad Amin Alamsjah, Ir., M.Si., Ph.D. said that the most important key for students to have is creativity. It is the core of success in career, study or even business.
“Building a career needs creativity, continuing study needs creativity, producing excellent and competitive product also needs creativity,” said Prof. Amin.
Therefore, in the occasion, Prof Amin also encouraged the students or alumni to always improve their creativity. (*)
