UNAIR NEWS – One of the lecturers with great achievements of FKG UNAIR is Dr. Ernie Maduratna Setiawatie, drg., M.Kes., Sp.Perio. The woman born in Malang, known as Ernie has created some products patented.

Her patented products are Antimicrobial Topical: Tetracycline Gel (tetracycline gel gel from local antimicrobe), Minocycline Mouth Wash (mouthwash to prevent periodontitis), and Periobrush (toothbrush to detect gum inflammation). There is also Nigela Sativa Mouth Wash (anti-bacterial, anti-inflammation and anti-oxydant mouthwash), Photosensitizer Ekstrak Moringa (sensitizer for photodynamic on gum inflammation cases), Hyaluronic Acid Gel (implant post-surgery therapy and receding gum prevention),  and Periodontal Tissue Engineering (dental implant and tooth mobility therapy).

She has developed a natural product from cow’s tooth which can be planted in human, for bonegrafting. Ernie’s products are applicative, safe and affordable compared to manufactured products abroad.
