UNAIR NEWS – The Student Executive Board (BEM) of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) in collaboration with Business Studies Forum (FSB) Faculty of Law UNAIR organizes donation event to orphans on Tuesday, June 20.

The event held in Kahuripan Hall 300 UNAIR Campus C was attended by 200 orphans from ten orphanages in Surabaya and surrounding areas.

In the event entitled “Ramadan Ceria”, Head of BEM UNAIR Anang Fajrul said that the donation was a form of gratitude to God over the abundance of fortune.BEM UNAIR shared together with FSB.

“We’re grateful that BEM can organize this event. Hopefully the gifts from us are useful for all of you,” said Anang.

Staff of Directorate of Student Affairs , Deny Yasmara, who also attended the event said, “Ramadan Ceria” is one of the forms Higher Education Tri Dharma.

“This sharing event is also a form of our practice as one of the points of Higher Education Tri Dharma, community service. UNAIR is open to all. So, for you who want to study here, is very likely as long as you want to learn, “explained Deny in front of hundreds of orphans.

In the three-hour event, there was a recitation of the Qur’an and the performance of the Saman traditional dance.  UNAIR students performance was able to attract attention and increase the enthusiasm of orphans.

Furthermore, the orphans were also invited to have iftar together and gifts given by the committee.
