Cahya Arum, the Best Graduate of Faculty of Vocations

UNAIR NEWS – Focusing on her academic activities was Cahya Arum Perdana’s way to be the best graduate. Her efforts to concentrate during lectures have come to fruition. She was named as the best graduate from Faculty of Vocations of Universitas Airlangga graduation in March 2016.

She took three-year-program (D3) of Taxation. When she was graduated, she had GPA 3.93. “There were no special tips, but during lectures I always focus on the lessons. So, if there is an exam, I just need to review them,” said Cahya.

Asked about her activities during college, she often attended seminars, competitions and worked part-time. In 2016, she attended a Focus Discussion Group seminar on Taxation Outlook. While in 2015, the woman from Sidoarjo became the finalist of Indonesian Spectaxcular Competition in the national College of Accounting (STAN).

For final assignment, every student was obliged to conduct field work and make final assignment report. At that time, she worked for a public accountant’s office. “I had practical work in a public accountant’s office which dominated by accounting instead of taxation. So, I had to find topics well. Why did I take an internship in a public accountant’s office? I wanted to learn more. So, I also want to have other skill than taxation,” said the woman born on March 8, 1993.

After this, she planned to continue study at bachelor program and start a career on Tax General Directorate – Ministry of Finance. But, before finishing study she had already been a Junior Auditor Staff and Assitant Tax Consultant in a public accountant’s office in East Java.
