Dewi Meyrasyawati is an LPDP (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) awardee in 2016. She is a lecturer in Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Airlangga and now is a postgraduate student at Social and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Social Sciences, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Her research interest is on fashion culture and her current research is about the complexities of hijab practices among Muslim women in Surabaya, how they acquire and develop their agency through their hijabs.
