Ira Nurmala is an associate professor at the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Airlangga. She received her Master's of Public Health degree from Maastricht University, the Netherlands in 2007. In 2010, she received a Fulbright scholarship and got her Ph.D. in health promotion from The College of Public Health, University of Georgia, the USA in 2014. Ira Nurmala has published several papers in Adolescent Health and the professional development of Public Health Professionals. She also wrote books on professional development, health promotion, and adolescent health. She has an ongoing project named Health Educator for youth (HEY) that provides training for students.
