Tiyas adalah dosen dan peneliti di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Airlangga, bergabung pada tahun 2006. Bidang minatnya adalah Keperawatan Maternitas, Kesehatan Perempuan, dan Kesehatan Reproduksi. Selama di Fakultas Keperawatan, Tiyas berkesempatan menduduki beberapa posisi penting, antara lain Kepala Divisi Keperawatan Maternity, Manajer Jurnal, Ambassador Fakultas, dan Koordinator Program Sarjana Keperawatan. Tiyas juga telah terdaftar sebagai Pengurus Ikatan Perawat Maternitas Indonesia Wilayah Jawa Timur sejak 2017. Di bawah kepemimpinannya, Program Sarjana Keperawatan berhasil disertifikasi oleh ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) pada tahun 2018, terakreditasi secara Internasional oleh ASIIN dengan standar WFME, dan terakreditasi Nasional LAM-PTKes (Grade "A") pada tahun 2020.
