UNAIR NEWS –   Not only the basic dental olympiad and scientific work competitions, DENTINE 2018 also held Dentine Sport and Art (DSTART) consisting of basketball sport of men and women, futsal and infographic poster competition.

The enthusiasm was high in East Java so 2018 DSTART was held again with participants from various cities in East Java.

In 2018, SMA St. Louis 1 Surabaya succeeded in winning the first place for boys and girls basketball with the MVP (Most Valueable Player, ed) by Richard and Fransisca from SMA St. Louis 1 Surabaya.

A fierce and thrilling match was presented by the boy high school basketball team of St. Louis 1 Surabaya against SMAN 2 Surabaya. Both teams have met before in other high school basketball events. Excellent and consistent performance of the high school girls’ basketball team of St. Louis 1 Surabaya has made them retaining the first place.

Not only in basketball, a fierce match occurred in futsal as well. The final match between SMAN 9 Surabaya and SMKN 3 Surabaya was very lively with support from songomania but this year they lost to SMKN 3 Surabaya 2-1.

Lively supporters support their own team often found in DSTART 2018, SMAN 2 Surabaya with its mascot, SMAN 9 Surabaya with exciting supporters and other supporters who always support their favorite teams.

Enthusiasm was also shown from infographic poster competition themed “The effect of bad habits on oral cavity”. Creative students in Indonesia created their best work. Creativity and educational information are combined for a work that can educate Indonesians about oral and dental health.

High enthusiasm makes us eager to wait for the participation of high school students all over Indonesia the next time!
