In the BSI case, data hacking was bank customer data containing account information, mobile banking accounts and other information.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cHackers don\u2019t need to ask customers for a certain amount of money because they can immediately drain the contents of the account from taking the customer data,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n\n
She added that when hacking occurs, you should immediately report it to the authorities so that the cyber team can handle it immediately and don\u2019t panic and make a rash decision. Also, if the hacker asks for a ransom it\u2019s best not to give it right away because we don\u2019t have any certainty whether the data will come back after the money is given.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cSome hackers take advantage of the psychological condition of panicked victims by offering some money, but that\u2019s not the best solution,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n
How to anticipate hacking<\/strong><\/h5>\n\nShe urged people to always be vigilant in using technology. They should not access unrecognized links from social media easily. For her, computer-based systems without regular system security updates are very vulnerable to hacking.<\/p>\n\n
We can also maintain data security through simple ways, such as regularly changing passwords and updating software. More than that, she added, to always be careful in spreading private data such as ID number or others.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cFrequently updating devices, both smartphones and laptops. Don\u2019t use untrusted public wifi, especially to access sensitive data websites or applications such as mobile banking and internet banking,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n\n
