UNAIR NEWS<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Four students\u00a0of Faculty of Law, Universitas Airlangga<\/a>\u00a0(FH UNAIR), have made another achievement in the field of scientific writing.\u00a0The four students are Istifahani Nuril Fatiha (2020), Amilah Fadhlina (2020), Kharisma Putri Wardhani (2020), and Alvin Hervansyah (2022).\u00a0They discussed Sustainable Economic Development for their work.<\/p>\n\n

Winning\u00a0Best Paper<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

The four FH students won the\u00a0Best Paper\u00a0category in Dr. Mochtar Riady Legal Week 2023 Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) Pelita Harapan University, Tangerang, on June 8-10, 2023.\u00a0It is a national-scale competition with participants from various well-known universities in Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n

Team representative, Amilah, in an interview with UNAIR NEWS on Sunday, June 18, 2023, said the main theme of the LKTI was \u201cRedefining Public Policy in Ensuring Sustainable Economic Development: Road To Indonesia 2045 Development Agenda\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cSo, the theme is related to Indonesia\u2019s vision in 2045, a sustainable economy,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n

Amilah also shared the preparations they made before the competition. They started preparations at the end of April or to be precise, before Idul Fitri. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cPreviously, we were selected by MYMA FH UNAIR until we finally advanced as a team representing FH UNAIR for the LKTI category.\u00a0Apart from the LKTI team, there is also a debate team which,\u00a0Alhamdulillah, also won 2nd place,\u201d said Amilah.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe difficulty at that time was that we were constrained in compiling the work. In addition to the lecture agenda, which was quite dense, it coincided with Eid al-Fitr at that time,\u201d she added. <\/p>\n\n

Importance of sharpening\u00a0writing\u00a0skills\u00a0<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

However, they still take the time to do research and compile their paper. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cWriting is an interesting thing for us, so even though it is difficult, we still do it wholeheartedly,\u201d said Amilah. <\/p>\n\n

As a closing statement, Amilah expressed her hope that UNAIR FH students would also try to aim for the LKTI.\u00a0According to her, LKTI can hone\u00a0a student\u2019s analytical and writing\u00a0skills, <\/em>especially as preparation for thesis.<\/em><\/p>\n\n

\u201cStudents must try all the opportunities available, including aiming the LKTI. If later you experience failure, that is normal, and the important thing is to try first while there is a chance,\u201c she concluded. (*) <\/p>\n\n
