{"id":245557,"date":"2023-10-25T13:33:41","date_gmt":"2023-10-25T06:33:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/unair-now-has-11-scopus-indexed-scientific-journals\/"},"modified":"2023-10-26T10:08:16","modified_gmt":"2023-10-26T03:08:16","slug":"unair-now-has-11-scopus-indexed-scientific-journals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/en\/unair-now-has-11-scopus-indexed-scientific-journals\/","title":{"rendered":"UNAIR now has 11 Scopus indexed-scientific journals"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>UNAIR NEWS<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/en\/\">Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR)<\/a>\u00a0has made another achievement.\u00a0It has added another scientific journals indexed by Scopus.\u00a0This time, 11 UNAIR scientific journals were successfully indexed by Scopus.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>11 scientific journals<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>Previously, in 2022, UNAIR only had five scientific journals indexed by Scopus. These scientific journals were Asian Journal of Accounting Research (AJAR), Fisheries and Marine Sciences Scientific Journal (JIPK), NERS Journal, Dental Journal, and The Indonesian Journal of Public Health.<\/p>\n\n<p>And now, in October 2023, UNAIR has another six additional Scopus-indexed by Scopus. These scientific journals are the Indonesian Journal of Health Administration, YURIDIKA, Journal of Information Systems Engineering and Business Intelligence, Journal of Veterinary Medicine, Journal of Environmental Health, and The Indonesian Journal of Occupational Safety and Health. These additional six scientific journals mean that UNAIR currently has a total of 11 scientific journals. <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>Scopus<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>Prof. Hery Purnobasuki MSi PhD,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/lipjphki.unair.ac.id\/\">Head of the Institute for Innovation, Journal Development, Publishing and Intellectual Property Rights (LIPJPHKI) UNAIR<\/a>, said that Scopus is an reputable international journal indexing institution.\u00a0Prof Hery said when LIPJPHKI managed UNAIR&#8217;s scientific journals in 2020, UNAIR had no Scopus-indexed scientific journals.\u00a0However, with commitment and enthusiasm, there is a rapid improvement.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;In 3 years,\u00a0<em>Alhamdulillah<\/em>, after learning and with a commitment to improving the quality of scientific journals, 11 UNAIR scientific journals have been indexed by Scopus. Of course, this is an extraordinary feat in 3 years, a very significant achievement,&#8221; said Prof Hery. This proudest achievement has an impact on UNAIR&#8217;s reputation on a national and international scale.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"721\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/UNAIR-Kini-Miliki-11-Jurnal-Ilmiah-Terindeks-Scopus-2-721x1024.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-245426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/UNAIR-Kini-Miliki-11-Jurnal-Ilmiah-Terindeks-Scopus-2-721x1024.webp 721w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/UNAIR-Kini-Miliki-11-Jurnal-Ilmiah-Terindeks-Scopus-2-211x300.webp 211w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/UNAIR-Kini-Miliki-11-Jurnal-Ilmiah-Terindeks-Scopus-2-768x1090.webp 768w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/UNAIR-Kini-Miliki-11-Jurnal-Ilmiah-Terindeks-Scopus-2-1082x1536.webp 1082w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/UNAIR-Kini-Miliki-11-Jurnal-Ilmiah-Terindeks-Scopus-2-1442x2048.webp 1442w, https:\/\/unair.ac.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/UNAIR-Kini-Miliki-11-Jurnal-Ilmiah-Terindeks-Scopus-2.webp 1746w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 721px) 100vw, 721px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p>&#8220;The more UNAIR is recognized as a reference forum for international publications, it will certainly make UNAIR&#8217;s readability at the international level better,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\"><strong>UNAIR commitment<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>Prof Hery revealed that UNAIR is commited to increasing the number of publications and quality of scientific journals. Mentoring and funding programs go hand in hand to achieve that goal.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cExcellent budgeting for journal management is a priority. To maintain continuity, mentoring and training programs are regularly carried out. We also continue to learn from other institutions in managing scientific journals,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n<p>UNAIR will continue its effort to make more journals to be indexed by Scopus. Prof Hery said that currently UNAIR is waiting for good news about other scientific journals.<\/p>\n\n<p>&#8220;We are still waiting for good news regarding other scientific journals, which are currently in the review stage and will soon be indexed by Scopus,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n<p>Furthermore, various strategies have been developed to improve subsequent achievements further. Therefore, Prof Hery advised the entire UNAIR academic community to always be enthusiastic and never give up. \u201cEnthusiasm and perseverance are important. We will continue to carry out a sustainable mentoring strategy,&#8221; he concluded.
