Universitas Airlangga<\/a> students made another notable achievement. Kartika Devina Putri from the Faculty of Medicine, Afnan Nadhir, Wahyu Damar Iswara, Reizo Nararya Alinandito, and Muhammad Alvarezi Usamah Akrim from the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline won gold medal at the National Applied Science Project Olympiad (NASPO). The competition was held online by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA), on Friday, December 12, 2023.<\/p><\/p>\n\nTo UNAIR NEWS, Kartika stated that her team formulated the \u201cI-RAS\u201d, which stands for Indonesian Robot as Service With Subscription. They aspire to transform the national industry using a subscription-based robot.<\/p>\n\n
The I-RAS was formulated as a modern business model using the subscription-based robot. As the distributor, I-RAS connected the robot manufacturer and the consumer in the industrial sector.<\/p>\n\n
The success of I-RAS lies in implementing the principles of the sharing economy, enhancing efficiency, and improving performance effectiveness. They believed that websites and digital applications could simplify the interaction between manufacturers and consumers through a subscription-based system.<\/p>\n\n
“By integrating subscription principle, the system will handle the inefficiency of human labor. As a distributor that connects producers and consumers, I-RAS gives opportunity to industrial growth through robotic technology use,” said the Faculty of Medicine student.<\/p>\n\n
Kartika claimed that their innovation will positively impact the efficiency and development of the industry, especially in achieving the target of industry digitalization in the future.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cThe idea focuses on the app\u2019s output as a connecting distributor between robot manufacturers and consumers in the industrial sector. Therefore, the subscription-based robot service business model becomes a solution for improving cost efficiency, time, and product quality,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n
Winning a major competition was no small feat. Since each member had a busy schedule, Kartika and her team frequently had problems coordinating their schedules. The five of them were nevertheless inspired to come up with out-of-the-box ideas.<\/p>\n\n
They were grateful for winning the national competition and making the alma mater proud. She hoped that the business model concept could be implemented through the collaboration between the researchers, lecturers, subjects, and the government in the industry.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cThrough this collaboration, the transformation of Indonesia\u2019s industrial sector can advance into the world of digitalization. This could support the acceleration of Indonesia\u2019s economic growth,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n
