UNAIR NEWS<\/b> \u2013 The students of Universitas Airlangga<\/a> continue to make remarkable achievements, exemplified by their recent silver medal win in the PKM GFT (Futuristic Ideas) poster category at the 36th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS). The annual competition was hosted by the National Achievement Center at the Universitas Padjadjaran. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Among the team members are Anis Widya Astuti, Muhammad Wisnu Maulana, Cahyan Irfan Syach, Egah Qusay Fatansyah, and Tsabita Arinal Haq, who come from Robotics & Artificial Intelligence and Physics majors. \n<\/p>\n\n

They initiated the Oceanbone: A Sustainable Marine Maintenance System based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT), combining physics and modern technology. Under the guidance of lecturer Rizki Putra Prastio SSi MT, they developed a system using AI and IoT to address marine pollution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Anis expressed their team\u2019s gratitude for the achievement, stating, \u201cWe are grateful and almost couldn\u2019t believe it. We encountered technical difficulties during the presentation. However, the optimism paid off when the jury approved our work.\u201d <\/p>\n\n

The major challenge for the team was preparing for the presentation, particularly due to their adherence to an incentive scheme demanding additional practice. Nevertheless, through unwavering dedication and guidance from their mentor, they successfully managed these challenges. \n<\/p>\n\n

During the PIMNAS preparation, the team initially struggled to decide on continuing their work. However, their commitment to delivering their best propelled them to success. They made efforts to prepare the presentation and poster. <\/p>\n\n

Anis further shared some winning tips. \u201cCraft the proposal well, listen to your mentors, and always pray. Read a lot of references to integrate the latest technology with fresh and intriguing innovations,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cTeamwork is the key,\u201d she went on referring to the proposal arrangement and post-competition. The team had to divide tasks and collaborate in designing the poster, preparing the presentation, and gathering materials. <\/p>\n\n

Anis and her team hoped their effort would contribute to the development of technology and the preservation of the environment. \u201cWe hope that this idea can be implemented within the next 5-10 years and remain relevant, in line with the goals and benefits we envision,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n\n
