The meeting took place in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Balairua, located in the Management Building on UNAIR\u2019s MERR-C Campus.<\/p>\n\n<p>The delegation from NTCUST included six representatives, including Professor Tung Shou Chen, Professor Ching Wei Cheng, Professor Jiunn Woei Lian, Professor Shiah Lian Chen, and Ya Seng Cheng. Discussions centered on strategies for academic cooperation between the two institutions, with a focus on four faculties at UNAIR: the Faculty of Nursing (FKP), the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline(FTMM), the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), and the Faculty of Public Health (FKM).<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-a020c7aad820dd2889734eafdda4aa6f\"><strong>Building international partnerships<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>The partnership was formalized with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by UNAIR Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, S.E., M.T., Ak, and NTCUST President Prof. Tung Shou Chen. Following the signing, representatives from both universities held discussions to outline their collaborative strategy.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dina Septiani, Deputy of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE), expressed her enthusiasm for NTCUST\u2019s visit. \u201cWe are open to exploring various collaborative opportunities, whether in student exchange programs, joint research projects, guest lectures, or other potential initiatives,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n<p>During the meeting, Dina outlined several proposed initiatives, including plans by the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) to host guest lectures and collaborate on projects in information systems and statistics. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM) proposed a joint effort to develop dynamic sensor technology for industrial engineering.<\/p>\n\n<p>In the nursing field, Faculty of Nursing (FKP) offered an inbound student program that would allow NTCUST students to participate in clinical learning across various practice stations. This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for cultural and academic exchanges between the two universities through the programs we are designing,\u201d Dina explained.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3e4a9cd50c62e8fa830ff0619de002cc\"><strong>Exploring shared interest<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n<p>Professor Jiunn Woei Lian, an expert in information management, highlighted his interest in UNAIR\u2019s advancements in nanotechnology. \u201cNTCUST currently lacks faculty specializing in nanotechnology. Knowing that UNAIR has a program dedicated to this field, I am eager to explore it further and hope our collaboration will lead to significant advancements,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n<p>Professor Jiunn Woei Lian also emphasized UNAIR\u2019s potential for growth, expressing hope that collaborative research, student exchanges, and guest lectures would unlock new opportunities for both institutions.
