The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday (March 11, 2025) in the Plenary Meeting Room of Balai RUA, located on the 4th floor of UNAIR\u2019s Management Office at MERR-C Campus.<\/p>\n\n<p>UNAIR\u2019s Vice Rector for Academic, Student and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto, DEA, DVM, along with other university officials, warmly welcomed the STTAL delegation. Representing STTAL was its commander, Rear Admiral dr. Mukhlis, ST, MM, who was accompanied by senior personnel from the institution.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expanding collaborative efforts<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>During his remarks, Prof. Bambang underscored the longstanding relationship between UNAIR and STTAL, including previous collaborations with the Indonesian Navy Hospital. &#8220;We at UNAIR are pleased to welcome STTAL as we formalize this agreement. We hope to expand its scope beyond education, research, and community service to include additional initiatives outlined in the agreement,&#8221; said Prof. Sektiari.<\/p>\n\n<p>Echoing this sentiment, Rear Admiral Mukhlis emphasized that the partnership builds upon previous joint efforts and should lead to tangible results. &#8220;It is an honor for us to collaborate with a prestigious institution like UNAIR. We hope this partnership will extend beyond paperwork and translate into concrete initiatives that benefit the nation and society,&#8221; he stated.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>During the discussion session, UNAIR reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the agreement through various academic divisions, including the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), student affairs, resource management, and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. Both UNAIR and STTAL aim to drive innovation in military technology, marine sciences, and fisheries while strengthening maritime-focused community outreach programs.<\/p>\n\n<p>The two institutions also explored joint research opportunities in oceanography and international academic publications. Additionally, UNAIR offered STTAL faculty and students access to its digital library system, providing them with a vast collection of scholarly journals and the latest research findings.<\/p>\n\n<p>UNAIR expressed optimism that the partnership would soon be reinforced with more detailed agreements to facilitate smooth execution. &#8220;This discussion has outlined several concrete programs and key focus areas that are ready for implementation.
