UNAIR NEWS<\/strong> \u2013 The National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) has reached its final stage. In light of this, Universitas Airlangga<\/a> (UNAIR) has officially announced the names of students admitted through this pathway in a press conference. The event was held on the first floor of the Management Office at UNAIR\u2019s MERR-C Campus on Tuesday (March 18, 2025).<\/p>\n\n

During the announcement, UNAIR Rector, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, M.T., Ak., CA., stated that a total of 27,696 applicants competed for admission through the SNBP selection process this year. \u201cHowever, due to the rigorous selection criteria and limited capacity, we are unable to accept all applicants,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n

From this extensive pool of candidates, UNAIR has selected 2,407 students for admission via the SNBP program. Prof. Nasih congratulated the successful candidates, remarking, \u201cCongratulations to our newly admitted students, who represent the top 10.7 percent of applicants to UNAIR.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Most competitive programs<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

As in previous years, Prof. Nasih confirmed that the Bachelor of Medicine program remains the most competitive undergraduate major, with an acceptance rate of just 3.62 percent. \u201cMedicine continues to be the most sought-after program at UNAIR, followed by Pharmacy, Communication Studies, Nursing, Accounting, Management, and Psychology,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

The high level of competition is not exclusive to undergraduate programs. Several vocational programs are also highly selective. Prof. Nasih pointed out that one particular vocational program had an even lower acceptance rate than the Bachelor of Medicine program. \u201cThe D4 Medical Laboratory Technology program had an acceptance rate of just 3.1 percent, making it even more competitive than Medicine. Other highly selective programs include Occupational Health and Safety, Physiotherapy, Radiologic Imaging Technology, and Nursing,\u201d added the distinguished professor from UNAIR\u2019s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB).<\/p>\n\n

Preparation for enrollment<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n

Prof. Nasih also announced that 690 students have been admitted under the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) Scholarship program this year. He urged all incoming students to prepare thoroughly for their enrollment process. \u201cPlease ensure that all required documents are in order for registration, as there are numerous administrative requirements to fulfill. Additionally, complete the \u2018Regmaba\u2019 registration promptly to facilitate a smoother process,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n\n

Additionally, the UNAIR Rector encouraged students who were not admitted through the SNBP program to remain hopeful, emphasizing that other opportunities are still available. \u201cThere are multiple paths to becoming a UNAIR student. Further opportunities exist through the SNBT exam, independent selection, and private universities, all of which offer excellent educational prospects aligned with students\u2019 academic interests,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n\n
