UNAIR NEWS<\/b> \u2013 The Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) launched the Student Mobility Program and Industrial Visit of Advanced Technology (SMARTA). The program took place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Bima Suci Hall, Airlangga Convention Center (ACC), MERR\u2013C Campus, UNAIR. SMARTA allows students to learn while participating in industrial visits related to advanced technology, aiming to provide practical insight and strengthen their international academic experience.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

In her opening remarks, FTMM Vice Dean Prastika Krisma Jiwanti SSi MSc Eng PhD expressed gratitude and warmly welcomed the delegates. Jiwanti says that SMARTA is expected to be an engaging and enjoyable program.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThe program brings together students, lecturers, and researchers to exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration in science and technology with Universitas Airlangga,\u201d Jiwanti said.<\/p>\n\n

SMARTA delegates participation\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\n\n

Delegates participating in SMARTA came from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and UPMSA. A representative from UiTM said that joining the program is an honor, even though the preparation time is relatively short.<\/p>\n\n

UiTM noted that support from various parties made the participation possible and provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and industrial exposure.<\/p>\n\n

Meanwhile, a representative from UKM expressed appreciation for the expanding collaboration. The representative highlighted that the involvement of students from the Electron Device Society and the Power and Energy Society is expected to provide meaningful experiences throughout the program.<\/p>\n\n

A representative from UPMSA also emphasized that the program serves as an important opportunity to build meaningful connections. The representative hoped that the entire series of activities will provide productive and memorable experiences for all participants.<\/p>\n\n

Program activities<\/b><\/h5>\n\n

The event began with a Tari Remo performance as a welcoming gesture for the delegates. Afterward, the organizing committee introduced FTMM to all participants.<\/p>\n\n

The delegates then took part in documentation sessions, presentations, and interactive discussions. During the event, Universitas Airlangga and UKM also signed a collaboration agreement in the form of an Implementation Agreement and the appointment of an Adjunct<\/span> Professor<\/span>.<\/b><\/p>\n\n

High enthusiasm is evident among students and educators throughout the program. Quon Bo Wen, a student from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), shares a positive impression of the event. Wen says the atmosphere of the program is lively and enjoyable<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThis is my first time visiting Indonesia and Universitas Airlangga. The campus is very beautiful, although the weather is a bit hot. I also gain many benefits, including industry insights and opportunities to connect with other universities,\u201d Wen said.<\/p>\n\n
