The achievements included 1st<br\/>Runner-Up in the Clinical Skills Event \u2013<br\/>Advanced Level, 1st Runner-Up in the<br\/>Compounding Event, and the Best CP Co-<br\/>Lab Public Health Project Award.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event was organized by the International<br\/>Pharmaceutical Students\u2019 Federation (IPSF),<br\/>with Chulalongkorn University serving as the<br\/>host. The UNAIR delegation consisted of<br\/>Alprida Patmana Laludin Rumi, Ardelia Citra<br\/>Putri Lestari, Hariette Damery Lumban<br\/>Toruan, Hitaro Victory Lumban Toruan,<br\/>Mahayodia Zolla Al Hasbi, Surya Andri<br\/>Simanjuntak, Timotius Jayandana, Nailal<br\/>Husna, Nurafiah Nashwa Andini, R. A. Kayika<br\/>Dewipraja, Rasya Azka Shafira, and Rikha<br\/>Manda Novarina.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f3b819fe848ad3f48a5f624f2caafd02\">International pharmacy competitions<\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Toruan explained that the UNAIR&#13;\ndelegation\u2019s participation was part of the&#13;\ninvolvement of the Faculty of Pharmacy&#13;\nStudent Executive Board (BEM FF UNAIR) in&#13;\nIPSF. The event featured a series of&#13;\nactivities, including competitions,&#13;\nsymposiums, cultural workshops, as well as&#13;\nindustry and hospital visits.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere were many activities to take part in&#13;\nduring the World Congress. In addition to the&#13;\ncompetitions, we attended workshops, visited&#13;\npharmaceutical industries and hospitals, and&#13;\nexchanged experiences with pharmacy&#13;\nstudents from different countries,\u201d she&#13;\nexplained.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also explained that in the Compounding&#13;\nEvent, participants were challenged to&#13;\nformulate a suspension dosage form for an&#13;\nanthelmintic drug within 90 minutes.&#13;\nMeanwhile, the Clinical Skills Event tested&#13;\nparticipants\u2019 ability to solve clinical cases&#13;\ninvolving treatment regimens, pharmacology,&#13;\nand pharmacotherapy.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f14f3d066a5500c8b65dafd1f82a5081\">Learning pharmacy and cross-cultural<br\/>perspectives<\/h5>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the competitions, the delegation<br\/>visited the Government Pharmaceutical<br\/>Organization (GPO) to learn about the<br\/>production of generic medicines, from granulation and tablet compression to<br\/>capsule manufacturing and quality control<br\/>testing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Toruan said the experience broadened her<br\/>understanding of pharmacy while<br\/>strengthening her ability to adapt to different<br\/>cultures. \u201cThrough one of the World<br\/>Congress activities, the International Night,<br\/>we had the opportunity to learn about<br\/>cultures from different countries. So, we not<br\/>only learned about pharmacy, but also how to<br\/>communicate and adapt to different cultures,\u201d<br\/>she said.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She encouraged students not to hesitate to<br\/>pursue international experiences. \u201cJust give it<br\/>a try and start with small activities, such as<br\/>webinars or virtual student exchange<br\/>programs.
