FEB Alumnus Shares Experience about CPNS Test

UNAIR NEWS – The 2018 Civil Servant Candidate (CPNS) selection is scheduled to open at the end of July. It is something that a lot of people waiting for. Moreover, the graduation period has just been around. The CPNS test remains one of the graduate options after college.

In this regard, Alumni Association of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (IKAFEUA) held an online sharing titled “Qualifying 2018 Test of Civil Servant “. The speaker Aditya Widya Permana, SE is a staff of Sub Division of Rural and Regional Economy Fund, ​​Regional Finance Policy, Policy Center of APBN, Fiscal Policy Office, Ministry of Finance.

The sharing event was held on Friday, July 20. It was attended by no less than two hundred participants from students of UNAIR, alumni, and the public.

“First, what I want to convey is a matter of motivation to the examinees. My first motivation was to devote myself. Because, during school many have used the facilities provided by the state, “Aditya said.

“Secondly, I hope you dispel the shadow that being a civil servant of the country is for prosperity. There are still many private companies that provide greater incentive than the government, ” he added.

Concerning the incentive, Aditya does not understand about the other agencies. In addition, he encouraged the people not to think that civil servants (civil servants) have a lot of leeway.

“Third, the learning motivation should not only aimed for the CPNS entrance exam, but for self-development in order to be better mentally with knowledge in the future,” he said.

Aditya did not want the participants to be demotivated later, for being misguided in performing its function as a civil servant in the future, especially, when knowing the reality is not the same as the initial motivation of the participants.

“Do lots of practice and discussion. Because, no matter how many times the mechanism and type of material are changed, it does not matter if it has been prepared earlier,” he said.

Entering the question and answer session, the participants actively ask questions. One of them was an interview related question about tips to pass an interview.

“What is usually asked? And, what’s the answer?, “said one participants.

In response, Aditya said that the expert on psychology can be used as a reference on it. Because, it concerns about the attitude and behavior. The point is to keep the positivity.

“This interview test depends on experience, I think,” he said

“So, friends from psychology major can be asked for help. I used to look for an interview experience from the jobhunting activities. Although they are not for jobs I wanted, I still follow it because I want to be able to feel the interview, “he added. (*)
