UNAIR NEWS – As a form of academic excellence improvement, Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Dental Medicine (FKG UNAIR) held another Adjunct Professor program. This time the professor was Prof. M. Ali Darendeliler, Head of Orthodontics at University of Sydney and Head of the Department of Orthodontics, Sydney Dental Hospital.

For approximately a week, from August 31, this professor who is also an orthodontic science researcher gives lectures to students of specialist dental medicine programs on orthodontic management in trauma cases, sleep apnea management or sleep disturbances, and extraction and non-extraction orthodontic cases.

On this occasion, Prof. Ali also examined scientific papers of three orthodontic specialists.

In an interview with the Head of FKG UA Orthodontic Department, Dr. Ida Bagus Narmada, drg., S.Kes., Sp. Ort, he stated this adjunct professor program is an efficient forum for exchanging experiences between Australia and Indonesia, especially in the orthodontic field.

Prof. Ali also expressed his joy for this program. He also said that he wanted  to initiate collaborative research with FKG UNAIR.

“Anyway, I can’t wait to come to Universitas Airlangga again,” said Professor Ali at the end of the interview. (*)
