UNAIR NEWS – One of the work programs of Student Association (HIMA) Faculty of Public Health (FKM) Off Main Campus Study Program (PSDKU) Universitas Airlangga Banyuwangi, Public Health Association (B-PHA) is a legislative school. The event,which was held on Saturday, April 7, invited speakers from UNAIR Student Legislative Council members and the head of FKM Student Legislative Body UNAIR 2018.
The legislative school is one of the new work programs of B-PHA. On the occasion, the person in charge of the work program, Nahda Ruce Triyanti, tried to invite members of DLM UNAIR and BLM FKM UNAIR head to come to Banyuwangi and be the speakers in the legislative school.
The material was presented by Della Safera Pradanti, student of FKM class 2015, who is a member of DLM UNAIR 2018 and Fatin Zuhra, student of FKM class 2015 who serves as BLM FKM UNAIR 2018 head.
“This legislative school was held to help students in organizations. There are still many students who follow the organizations, but they have not been able to contribute at their best, so the legislative school is expected to improve their contributions within the organization, “said Nahda.
The legislative school was held at Sobo Campus, Room MA102 and attended by 38 students. At 10.00 it was started with a brief reviews about DLM UNAIR and BLM FKM UNAIR. Next, discussion groups were formed so students can directly practice what has been presented by the speakers.
“It was interesting, there is a lot of unknown knowledge about the organization but after joining the legislative school, we gain more insights about legislative and organizational,” said Nadiyah, one of the students of PSDKU UNAIR Class 2017 who attended the event.
Meanwhile, Nika, a student of class 2017, gave some advice for future legislative school events.
“Hopefully, participants who attend the legislative school will not only from FKM, but from all study programs in PSDKU UNAIR can follow this event,” she said.
