UNAIR NEWS – To provide better understanding on auditing, Student Association (HIMA) of D3 Accounting Universitas Airlangga held an Audit Training activity. The event took place on Wednesday and Thursday May 2-3, in Kahuripan Hall 3rd floor of Universitas Airlangga Management Building.
According to Alfarezy Hadian, person in charge of the activity, said that the Audit Training was a seminar or training held by HIMA D3 Accounting UNAIR in cooperation with Indonesian Institute of Public Accounting (IAPI). In the event, representative from IAPI become speaker and trainer who gave knowledge about auditing.
“We hold Audit Training in collaboration with IAPI, especially for the speaker and trainer in this activity,” he said.
Furthermore, Alfarezy said that the event also invited all accounting students from all universities in Indonesia to participate in IAPI audit training. But not only that, Alfarezy revealed there were some participants from practitioners or accounting graduates who were also the target of the activity.
“Our targets are students and graduate students who do not understand well about auditors,” he added.
The event attended by 108 participants, according to Alfarezy was aimed to improve cooperation with IAPI which has been well established. In addition, he added, the event was also a place for D3 Accounting major introduction to other universities.
“We also expect the participants after this activity can become students who know well their own department,” he added.
The four-year event got a good response from the participants because the training was presented well and interestingly by the committee.
“Hopefully participants feel happy with what we presented,” he said.
At the end, Alfarezy hoped that the cooperation established with IAPI can continue for the years to come. Not only that, after the activity participants were also expected to be able to become a good quality auditor.
“We hope that the participants who follow this activity can become good auditors. Auditors who really understand auditing well, “he concluded.
