Improving Quality Through Accreditation

UNAIR NEWS – Accreditation is one way to measure the quality of an institution. For this reason, as one of the best universities in Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga continues to improve their quality.

Through Quality Assurance Board (BPM), UNAIR conducted Field Assessment of Higher Education Accreditation held directly by National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). Located at Amerta Campus C Campus UNAIR on 3 November, all of UNAIR leaders held discussion with assessors from BAN-PT.

Rector Prof. Moh Nasih attended the discussion regarding to all of UNAIR achievements that will be checked by BAN-PT. On the opening presentation before the discussion, Prof. Nasih said this assessment was a part of our responsibilty of advancing education quality in Indonesia.

“The assessor team consisting of seven professors from various state universities in Indonesia has participated with all of us to carry out our responsibilty through accreditation,” he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Assessor Team, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamasri said that BAN-PT had assigned him and the team since the beginning of October to assess UNAIR forms. The Field Assessment that is being carried out is one of the efforts to adjust the data contained in forms with real conditions in the field.

“With this event, it is an effort to validate all of the data form. We also held discussions with students, alumni, users, lecturers and educational staff,” he added.

All of this carried out solely to fulfil the mandate said Profesor of Universitas Gadjah Mada. After presentation from Prof. Jamasri, Prof. Nasih explained various things about UNAIR. As a starting point for preparation of discussions and field observations as description to the assessors.

“And of course, all the inputs given will be one of the frameworks and considerations for all of us here to make improvements in the future,” said Prof Nasih.
