Indonesia Police Academy Establishes Collaboration with UNAIR

UNAIR NEWS – Governor of Police Academy Irjen Pol. Rycko Amelza Dahniel. M. Si along with the officers and staff visited Universitas Airlangga, on Wednesday (18/10).  The visitation aimed to follow up MoU Collaboration between UNAIR and Indonesia Polce Academy (AKPOL) which been signed in 2014.

There will be any collaborations conduct by UNAIR and AKPOL, includes, research collaboration, culture study and academic life of cadets. Rycko informed that the result of research will be used for sharpen cadets to be more professional, modern and based on community needs.

“Cadet’s culture is formal, informal and non formal. Are there any other cultures that influence? It will be observed,” Rycko said

The second collaboration will be the assessment and also arrangement of English course for police cadets. According to him, English skill was important for cadets. Then, based on plan the Governor of Police Academy will speak for public lecture at Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP) UNAIR.

Ryco expected through the visitation the knowledge in UNAIR could be useful to review and asses learning system in police academy.

“We need to increase quality and output of cadet to be more professional. Thus, we request help of experts to see things that need to be fixed,” Rycko said

In the visitation, Rector of UNAIR Prof. Dr. Mohamad Nasih, SE, MT, Ak, CMA., Introduced UNAIR to Rycko, including Police Science Study. Through the collaboration he hoped to create a more dignified police education.

“Hopefully the police academic culture will be better and the quality of graduates will be greater,” Said Prof. Nasih
