UNAIR NEWS – “Heads of Student Executive Board (BEM)” is getting special coverage in UNAIR NEWS. It will cover the various issues of Heads of Student Executive Board (BEM) 2018 from 14 Faculties of Universitas Airlangga. The first opportunity to appear in this special coverage is Head of BEM Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UNAIR) Rizky Ananda Putra.
Interviewed by UNAIR NEWS through Whatsapp on Tuesday, January 2, the sixth semester student shared the importance of organization for students. For him, experience and knowledge gained in organizations cannot be obtained when learning in the classroom.
The student known familiarly as Ape believes that changes cannot be done alone, there must be a community which supports it. There must be a group of people who share the same vision to achieve the change.
“Also, the biggest reason I joined organization is in order to be more useful to the people around. Because I have a principle, the best people are ones beneficial to others, “said the alumnus of SMAN 4 Surabaya.
As of now, Ape has joined some organizations such as BEM FEB UNAIR PSDM Staff (2015), BEM FEB UNAIR (2016) PSDM Staff, Deputy of Foreign Relations BEM FEB UNAIR (2017), Supervisory Board of HIMA Management UNAIR (2017), and now he is the Head of BEM FEB UNAIR (2018).
Joining the various organizations, Ape claimed that it was not difficult to manage the time because from the beginning he understood that to join various organizations he must be great at managing time.
“It’s just that sometimes he has irregular rest because he often had to attend meetings until midnight,” he explained.
Despite his busy schedule, Ape believes that all difficulties he faces are the logical consequences of the path he chooses. So in the front of obstacles,  he remains enthusiastic and continues to be active in organization.
“Set your priority, that’s the tip. Which one is important and urgent, important and not urgent, unimportant and urgent, and unimportant and urgent. I often use this quadrant to reduce vain activities, ” he said.
At the end, Ape confessed that so far, both of his parents still support the various activities. In addition, to students who are active in the organization Ape gave a piece of advice to keep struggling.
” Insya Allah, what we sow today will be held accountable for the life that we live today in front of God someday,” he concluded.
