UNAIR NEWS – In the celebration of Eid al Fitr 1439 H, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Airlangga (FK UNAIR) held Halalbihalal event at Graha BIK-IPTEKDOK on Monday, June 25. It was warm and festive with the performance of Karawitan Dharmawanita FK UNAIR.
The academicians from the professors, faculty staffs, to students shake hands with each other. There was also a sermon by Ustaz Muhammad Sholeh Drehem, LC., M.Ag.
In the sermon, Ustaz Muhammad Sholeh Drehem stressed the importance of maintaining good relations among others.
“The term halalbihalal is a tradition in Indonesia while in the middle east such as Mecca, Medina, Yemen, to Dubai, there is no nuances of friendship like this. This is the form of ijtihad of our predecessors to perfect our devotion after a whole month of worship in the month of fasting, “he said.
Piety is not just showed by worshiping God alone. It will be more perfect when one is able to maintain a good relationship with one another.
“Muttaqin (pious men) are not easily angry, not easily offended and hold a grudge. When someone else misbehaves us, we sincerely forgive them even before they apologize, that is the true form of piety, “he said.
Uztaz Muhammad Sholeh Drehem recited a hadith narrated from Abu Hurairah Radhiyallaahu’anhu, that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam once said, “The doors of heaven opened on Monday and Thursday. So all the pious men who do not associate God with anything will be forgiven. Except for two men who had hostility between him and his brother. It is said that it is suspended for the two men in feud, until they are reconciled. ”
