UNAIR NEWS –Â Although considered as a new institution in Universitas Airlangga, Institute for Integrated Development and Training (LPPT), Universitas Airlangga, continues to make every effort to take on the vision of UNAIR.
Interviewed after the opening of Professional Intensive Training event in a hotel in Surabaya, April 10, Head of LPPT UNAIR Drs. Eko Supeno, M.Si., said that the presence of LPPT in the future is expected to become the embryo of a training center owned by UNAIR.
According to Eko, as a prominent institution of higher education, UNAIR should already have its own training center, considering the number of experts in various fields owned by UNAIR.
“If it is well managed, it can bring benefits through training for the partners,” he said.
Regarding the mechanism, the lecturer of FISIP UNAIR said that there are two patterns, by offering training programs and fulfilling the training requests. Furthermore, according to Eko, individuals and experts of UNAIR will also grow.
Moreover, all aspects of possessed by UNAIR, whether economic, social, cultural, political, health, medicine, and natural sciences, is potentially useful for UNAIR and partners
Furthermore, in addition to providing trainings, Eko also explained various functions of LPPT UNAIR, such as domestic cooperation, expertise management, research model development, and expertise consult. At the end, he hoped, both from the academic community of UNAIR and partners to be able to benefit from the presence of LPPT.
“For a start, LPPT must have the courage to start. Indeed it is not easy and this is also a challenge for us to continue to exist, “he said. “And we hope for all academicians and partners can join LPPT. We can do it together, “he concluded.Â
