UNAIR NEWS – Our work often hampers our study as active student at college. Students often have difficulty to manage their time between work and study. But, it did not stop Adhi Widhianto, MA to become the best graduate of master program Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) for September 2016 graduation.

Regarding his research, the man graduated from Accounting program studied “Performance Based Budgeting Institutionalization: A Case Study of Budget Planning in Ministry of Finance”. Adhi gathered information to know what prompts make Ministry of Finance delegate its performance budgeting structure based on logic model.

“What causes the prompt, is it coercive isomorphism, mimetic isomorphism, or normative isomorphism, or even combination of the three,” said the graduate with GPA 3.93.

As a civil servant of the Ministry of Finance, Adhi admitted that he has been in a difficult situation. In his third day of his study he was contacted by his office which asked him to attend the inauguration for promotion.

“So I had to get back to Jakarta and attend the inauguration the next day. During that confusing situation, after the inauguration I was relieved from my position and could continue study in UNAIR, Alhamdulillah,” said the man born in Blora, November 8, 1981.

Adhi shared some tips to be the best graduate. His motivating phrase “Man Jadda Wajada”: who works hard will never fail. He always comes to classes, does his assignment well and balances the life with family.

”Material, moral and prayers support from family, parents, wife and child indirectly motivated me to perform at best,” he said.

After being named as the best graduate, Adhi said that he will get back to his office and serve the country well.  He hoped that his knowledge can be applied in his work.

“Hopefully I will always be in God’s protection, so I can use this knowledge to be useful,” he said. (*)
