UNAIR NEWS – Mega Indah Permatasari’s achievement during her bachelor study and her active days at Faculty of Law certainly hasn’t been futile. Born in Surabaya 22 years ago, she was finally chosen as an accomplished graduate from the Faculty of Law where she had been studying. Since started studying in in 2013, she has collected no less than 12 honors.
Some of her achievements are: 2nd winner in National Debate at UniversitasKristen Indonesia (in 2013), 1st winner in Soediman Kartohadiprodjo’s Trophy Debate Competition (in 2014), 2nd winner in Mahkamah Konstitusi’s Trophy National Debate Competition (in 2015).
“I was pretty junior when I won the Soediman Kartohadiprodjo’s Trophy Debate Competition. Thank God I win the competition. Probably it was that debate which has taken my name to the level of national debaters,” recollects the girl who graduated with 3.74 grade-point average.
Not only accomplished, Mega was also active in various committees, from faculty level to university level. Most of the time she was involved in debate-based activities. Although extremely busy with activities from when she was a freshman until approaching her undergraduate thesis, she has never stuttered in her studies.
”I joined many activities, but there were no serious obstacles. When I was young I had some health problems. Activities and tight schedules has forced me to work hard to keep my grade-point average satisfactory. In addition, I still have my performance to keep,” says the SMAN 16 Surabaya graduate.
In his undergraduate thesis entitled “Penerapan Arm’s Leght Principle (ALP) dalamPencegahan Praktik Abuse of Transfer Pricing oleh Perusahaan Multinasional di Indonesia”, Mega looked into an un-popular crucial tax problem, namely transfer pricing.
“Therefore, studying at college must have additional value. Find as many rewarding activities as possible. Join clubs, be an apprentice and other activities. If possible, build unforgettable memories and have lots of experience as well,’ adds Mega to Warta Airlangga. (*)
