Prof. Joost Nan Appreciates UNAIR Law Students are Proactive and On Time While Studying in Class

This year, the Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR Law) invited Adjunct Professors and Visiting Lecturers from various universities abroad to fill guest lectures to continue improving internationalization. Prof. Dr. Joost Nan is one of the Visiting Professors who UNAIR Law invited to give a guest lecture on the landscape of criminal economic regulation in the Netherlands.

 

Prof. Joost Nan studied criminal law when he attended Leiden University in 2003 and later began working as a lawyer in public practice. The focus is on criminal law, especially cassation cases. In 2011, he obtained his Doctorate in Tilburg. Apart from being a Professor, he also provides courses for various organizations as part of his professional lawyer training. His career at Erasmus University began in 2013 when he transferred there as Associate Professor and was assigned to handle the criminal case of lawyer Wladimiroff in The Hague.

 

Through an interview with FH News on Tuesday (18/10/2022), the expert on criminal law from the Faculty of Law, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, also conveyed his message while teaching at UNAIR. “I like teaching at UNAIR Law. The campus is good, I like the rooms, I like the technology, I like the facilities, I like the students,” said the person who holds a Professorship in Criminal Procedure Law.

Prof. Joost Nan also said he enjoys teaching at UNAIR Law because the students are proactive when studying and come to class on time.

“Students come to class on time and ask many questions when I teach. I like this campus because it gives me a fun teaching experience,” he continued.

 

He also congratulated UNAIR on its 68th birthday and for all the academic achievements UNAIR achieved over the past 68 years. He hopes UNAIR can continue to maintain the accomplishments achieved so far in the future and become the world’s top campus.
