(23/5/2023) | The Faculty of Law, Airlangga University, has been ranked several times in the best rankings in the world, according to the 2023 QS World University Ranking (QS WUR) at 151 – 200 at the world level. This made FH UNAIR attend a meeting held by the Higher Education Faculty of Law Cooperation Board (BKS-FH PTN) on Thursday (18/5/2023) at the Indonesian Embassy in Wellington, New Zealand.
From FH UNAIR who attended the activity, namely, Dr. M. Syaiful Aris as Deputy Dean II working in the field of finance and human resources for the faculty and Dr. Maradona, S.H., LL.M. as Deputy Dean III engaged in research, innovation, and community service and development. In this activity several other state universities are members of the PTN BKS-FH in Indonesia also present at this activity, not forgetting that the deans of several universities in New Zealand also attended this activity, including Victoria University Wellington, The University of Auckland, and Auckland University of Technology.
This activity further strengthens relations between law faculties in the international sphere and provides information regarding the applicable education system, especially in the field of law. This activity aims to promote and internationalize programs in FH UNAIR so that actions like this help increase the progress of FH UNAIR internationally.
This activity also impacts cooperative relations between state universities on an international scope; FH UNAIR also offers several programs that can support the quality of education, especially in law, including research and publications, student and lecturer exchanges, to double degree programs. In the activities in Wellington, New Zealand, apart from discussing education, they also discussed the use of shared resources, such as the distribution of magazines and the utilization of each campus environment to support educational activities.
“Furthermore, soon, several universities in New Zealand will come directly to FH UNAIR to discuss further the technical implementation of the cooperative relations that have been built, so that they can be carried out properly,” said Dr. Maradona.
