Universitas Airlangga and Griffith University: Indonesia’s Relations with Australia Before and After the Pandemic

Surabaya Humas | Thursday (January 12th, 2023) 12 students from The Faculty of Social and Political Science of Universitas Airlangga (FISIP UNAIR) And 10 students from Griffith University Australia attended a lecture led by Consulate General of Australia in Surabaya named Fiona Hoggart. She started the lesson by telling some interesting stories related to the background of the Consulate General’s office placement in Surabaya. She also explained in detail the relationship and interaction between Indonesia and Australia before and after the pandemic.  

Throughout her lecture, Fiona Hoggart talked a lot about historical moments that have been passed by Indonesia and Australia. There are a lot of students from both Griffith University and UNAIR who asked interesting questions. They have high curiosity about how Indonesia and Australia manage to maintain their relationship, what kind of challenges interfere with their relationship, and what potential both countries have to help develop their relations, etc. It can be concluded that the discussion led by Fiona Hoggart ran smoothly and generate new knowledge for the present participants.
