UNAIR NEWS – The main event is ahead, PKM teams of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) follow “External Monev (Monitoring and Evaluation) Simulation” to achieve optimal results. The external monev is scheduled in July, 16-18.

External monev is very important because it becomes one of the assessments to enter the National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) main event. 

The activities were held in assembly room  A, B, C, and 303, UNAIR Management Building, for two days, Thursday and Friday, June 28-29. In contrast to internal monev 1 and 2, according to Chairman Garuda Sakti 2018, Ahmad Bonang Saputra, in this External Monev Simulation, there is a presentation session similar to the external monev, not just consulting with internal reviewer lecturers .

“Similar to the external monev, there is a ten minute presentation from the PKM team. Then, five minutes for questions and answers session with the reviewer’s lecturer, “Bonang said.

In the implementation of the activity, there is also a requirement for the entire PKM UNAIR team that passes 2018 funding. For example, PKM progress should reach 90 percent and has been published with complete documents, from logbook and IKJP that has 90 percent to file presentation and poster, for external monev.

With the requirements and evaluation results of the reviewer’s lecturer , the activity is expected to achieve its objectives. Particularly through the input and suggestions of these activities from the reviewer’s lecturer . The input is generally more directed to technical presentations for external monev.

“In the presentation of PKM, do not too modest. Having done a lot of things but delivered only small part of them in the presentation. Show them all so that WOW effect is visible, “said Bonang.

As it is held during the college holidays and many students have not returned to Surabaya, Bonang admitted that the activity ran smoothly. Some obstacles can be overcomed by Garuda Sakti committee.

“The committee is difficult to gather for meetings. The Preparation of PKM team presentation schedule and initial preparations was lacking. Fortunately, it ran well,” he said.

Through the External Monev Simulation, the readiness of the team of PKM UNAIR passed the 2018 funding could improve and increase PIMNAS greater opportunities. (*)
