UNAIR NEWS – The era of industrial revolution 4.0 has become a challenge for working people, especially students. Technological advancements make humans excluded from their roles and replaced by smart machines. More expertise and mindset is needed in order to be able to compete to get a decent job.
In order to prepare students to deal with these problems, AUBMO (Bidikmisi Organization Universitas Airlangga, ed) through the Ministry of Entrepreneurship held Bidikmisi Airlangga Entrepreneur Community (KUBA). The activity was held on Sunday, September 16 at Ikhwan Hall of Nuruzzaman Mosque Universitas Airlangga campus B.
Arif syaifurrisal as the speaker in the activity said, students must be able to make the right decision. Before entrepreneurship, you should be able to determine a good and potential business. Both of these variables are variables that cannot be separated.
“A good business is not necessarily potential. Conversely, potential isn’t necessarily good either. Therefore we must first determine a good and potential business, “he added.
On the occasion, in addition to sharing experiences in entrepreneurship, the Director of Library Satria Airlangga (SAGA) also provided knowledge on financial management, marketing, and production.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Faroq as the entrepreneurial minister of AUBMO said, KUBA is one of AUBMO’s work programs that accommodate students’ interest in the field of entrepreneurship. This activity is expected to inspire graduated students to compete and make jobs.
“By knowing experiences and motivations from the speakers, students will become more passionate about entrepreneurship,” added the Aquaculture student of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine.
Faroq said, KUBA had several agendas. Among them were workshops and talk shows at the first meeting to inspire the enthusiasm of Bidikmisi students for entrepreneurship. After that, for a month, the participants will be asked to go directly into the field for entrepreneurship in groups.
“Later each group will be guided by a group companion so that the learning process can run optimally,” he added.
Faroq also said that participants were also facilitated for business funding by the ministry of entrepreneurship. Which will then be reported on the results of the business at the second meeting on October 13, 2018, in another workshop with different speakers and theme.
“After participating in this CUBA series, I hope participants can succeed in entrepreneurship and make jobs when they have returned to their respective regions,” he concluded. (*)
