UNAIR NEWS – After a long process of routine coaching in each category, UNAIR contingent held a training camp or training center before leaving for Musabaqoh Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) National Student XV 2017.

This training camp was held on 15-17 July 2017 at Villa Arumdalu, Batu. The entire members of UNAIR contingent along with their coaches gathered and practiced intensively. This training camp is expected to measure the extent of the readiness of each category. Plus, the whole team’s cohesiveness needs to be improved in order to foster the spirit of togetherness.

“All members are expected to maximize their potential, it can still be improved, because there is still time and nothing is impossible,” said Ustadz Sunan Fanani in the opening of TC on Saturday, July 15.

Within two days, all participants are required to practice intensively.
“What distinguishes this TC with coaching in general is the intensive coaching consisting of mentoring, spiritual, unity and kinship of the team and of course the scientific guidance of each competition category,” said Fauzi, head of UNAIR contingent.

There will be many events in this TC, including the guidance of spirituality in the form of congregational prayers, joint study, evening reflection, and practice other deeds useful for musabaqoh. Team kinship development in the form of games, tadabbur in nature, and other activities. Scientific guidance of each category in the form of coaching with team builder, to simulate the competition.

Supervisor of MTQ UNAIR, KH Abdul Wahhab Husein admitted that UNAIR contingent will always grow every year, this is proved by the more focused training scheme. In addition, the coach from Malang appreciated the university who concerned and supported the team.

“The training held up to now I think enough to perform at national level, everything has been prepared as well as possible, we just need to surrender on the results. Efforts and prayers are very necessary, “said KH Abdul Wahab Husein.

He advised that the contingent should be discipline, dare to act and focus in coaching, because it is the principle to achieve success. In this TC there is a group behind the scenes that helps the preparation of the contingent. They call themselves Buroq MTQ team consisting of coordinator, designer and news content writer in each social media account. One of the Buroq MTQ teams, khoiriyah said she was happy to help the contingent to focus for the competition, and the buroq team could help the publication and dissemination of information about UNAIR contingent.

Ahmad Fauzi added, preparation of the contingent to face National MTQM 2017 until now is good enough. In the remaining time, approximately nine days, participants are expected to prepare even more. Do not forget also to pray and ask for parents’ blessings and also their teachers’, in order to be able to perform optimally and gain reputation for the alma mater.
