UNAIR NEWS – Efforts and preparation for student research event of the Ministry of Research and Higher Education (Kemristekdikti), the Student Creativity Program (PKM), continue to be done by the academic community of Universitas Airlangga. One of them was by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) UNAIR.
PKM Training of Trainers was held by BEM FST on Saturday, May 5. The event was aimed to prepare and shape students as a PKM trainers in FST.
In that activity, trainers participating the event are expected to understand more about PKM and its formats. It is an effort ito facilitate the students in the faculty especially the students who apply for PKM proposal.
“So, the students can ask about the PKM directly to the trainers in their respective association,” said the Head of the ToT of PKM Alifia.
Participants of the training of trainers were delegates from eight programs in FST. In total there are 40 participants. In details, each program sent five representatives.
“Everyone (delegate, ed) focuses on one field of PKM,” she added.
The trainers in the training were Akif Rahmatillah, ST, MT, and Nita Citrasari, ST, MT and also the Garuda Sakti team as PKM presentation trainers.
Please note, Garuda Sakti is an autonomous body of UNAIR engaged in the field of science, especially in the field of PKM and Student Achievement (Mawapres) for the development of scientific atmosphere and scholarship of UNAIR academic community in national and international arena.
Meanwhile, in the training, the material presented on PKM was thorough including the five areas of PKM. Here, the committee was focused more on training trainers to understand the format of writing. That way, they are expected to help the people who have difficulty.
Before the event took place, delegates were given the task of correcting the PKM provided by the committee. Next, they were assigned to present the results in a focus group discussionsession (FGD). Not only trained to correct writing of PKM, each participant were also taught moral values and procedures to be a trainer .
