Rector Listens to Alumni Experience in Belgium

UNAIR NEWS – During their visit to Europe, UNAIR Rector and his group visited and met an alumni in Brussel, Belgium. The meeting, on March 18, which was full of intimacy, became a moment of sharing between the rector and the alumni in the Belgium.

The Rector of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Moh. Nasih advised the alumni to maintain good reputation and good name of the alma mater as the alumni in Indonesia are also encouraged to participate and give a real contribution to the good name of the alma mater.

In the meeting full of intimacy, alumni were represented by Lanang Seputro. The International Relations Alumnus 1987 felt the visit of rector and the other officials was like a family visit. Lanang Saputro who is also staff of the Embassy was ready to assist if there are UNAIR academicians who want to visit or study in Europe.

Head of Planning and Development Board (BPP) UNAIR Prof. Badri Munir Sukoco also commented on the visit made by the rector and group to Europe. During a trip for international scientific conference, assessment of partnerships, the officials took time to establish friendship with leaders of alumni in Belgium.

” Alhamdulillah, it is hitting two birds with a stone. Having a presentation at international seminars, MoUs with top universities, and visiting UNAIR alumni in Europe. Hopefully the efforts of Rector and UNAIR delegates to build academic and employer reputation in are always full of blessings. Aamiin YRA,” said Prof. Badri.

UNAIR Rector and the other officials made a strategic visit to mainland Europe and participated actively as co-organizer of a conference entitled International and Multidiciplinary Conference. Rector left for France with 20 presenters from various faculties in UNAIR.

The first visit was on Wednesday, March 14 at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris. On that occasion, Prof. Nasih opened the conference with representatives from the University of Le Havre, the Universe of Paris I Pantheon-Sorbonne, and the Embassy of India.

On the same day, the Rector signed an MoU of collaboration for the development of education and research between UNAIR and Ecole Nationale Veternaire de Nantes France. The MoU took place at the Indonesian Embassy in France and witnessed by Education Attache and Acting Ambasador. (*)
