UNAIR NEWS – The Analytica application team developed by UNAIR students went to Bali to receive an award directly from Pertamina. The award was won after Analitica was named the best three in the 2021 Seed and Scale Pertamuda competition.

In the Pertamuda awarding night Friday, on October 1, 2021, the founders of Analitica, Hilmy Muktafi (S1 Information Systems) and Wisnu Aditya (S1 Islamic Economics), symbolically received the Pertamina funding prize worth 100 million rupiah. The award was given directly by Pertamina CEO Nike Widyawati at the Patra Jasa Hotel, Bali.

With the Head of BPBRIN UNAIR Muhammad Nafik, they received awards as a form of coaching and capital funds for three selected businesses eliminated more than 2025 other national competitors. Analitica won with two other best business ideas, Tekpang from the University of Indonesia and Chickin from Brawijaya University.

In a previous interview with the UNAIR News team, Hilmy as the developer, also revealed that the funding from Pertamina will later expand their application range not only to East Java but also other areas in Indonesia.

“We will add personnel to support several new projects that we will develop further. We also want to allocate funding for marketing strategies to support the expansion of Analytica’s reach,” he said.

His team’s journey to get funding was not easy. Hilmy revealed how he and his team had limited time to prepare for the competition. However, their hard work paid off with this victory.

Hilmy said that the business idea for Analitica app stems from his concern about online learning and exam situations where many types of cheating are encountered. “Nowadays, there are many online exams. Unfortunately, there are also many viral acts of cheating, such as using jockeys, additional monitors, or cellphones. Later, this problem can be minimized with the technology we have built in Analytica,” he explained.

Therefore, Analitica was built as an education-based application to assist distance learning for students, who will face the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK). Analitica is specially designed for exam preparation such as UTBK, SBMPTN, Independent admission, and government recruitment exam.

Hilmy, representing his team, hopes that this victory can encourage Analitica to contribute more and positively impact the education ecosystem in Indonesia.

The Analytica application can be accessed on various platforms such as Android, iOS, and the official website Analytica has recorded more than 20 thousand user downloads and occupies the top 16 positions for education-based applications in Indonesia. (*)
