UNAIR NEWS – Companies are preparing to be filled with millenial generation workers. PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) has prepared a number of policies to adopt the demands of the times.
The statement was made by Human Capital Management Director of PT. PLN (Persero) Muhammad Ali in guest lecture “Millennial Generation Development at PLN”, Tuesday September 5, at Fadjar Notonegoro Hall of Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga.
This guest lecture is a collaboration of FEB UNAIR, Center for Career Development and Entrepreneurship, and PT. PLN (Persero).
In front of hundreds of academics, Ali said his institution had set up recruitment stages before receiving millennial generations, such as PLN adaptive tests. The goal, to determine the level of stress applicants.
“PLN is aware of the changes in the current generation, ranging from those that can not be separated from the gadget to a high critical level. However, PLN does not as well as make a ban but provide a container. The existence of remuneration and direction of potential employees to follow the international community through chat activity (conversation), “explained Ali.
In addition to the millenial generation workers, Ali also explained about the condition of electricity Indonesia. According to him, electricity reserves in Indonesia is still sufficient. He admitted, at this time he began to change the passive mindset to be active.
“PLN which used to only provide electricity is now changing the paradigm by selling the power. The previously deficit power balance can be positive because of the various efficiencies supported by Presidential Regulation No. 4 of 2016 on the acceleration of electricity development, “he added.
At the end of the event, Ali invited UNAIR academic community to solve the electricity problem in Indonesia.
