UNAIR NEWS – The Faculty of Medicine’s Dean Cup of UNAIR  was ended lively. There were three national bands performing and entertaining the audience in Dyandra Convention Center, Friday, May 6. Those bands are Barasuara, Hivi, and Sheila on 7.

The organization of FK Dean Cup this year was themed “Surviving Disaster”. According to Naufal Najmuddin, Head of FK 2017 Dean Cup, through the theme, his event wanted to educate the public on disasters happening in society.

“We try to educate the people on disasters happening around us. In the closing, we explained our theme on surviving disaster,” said Naufal.

The series of events in 2017 FK Dean Cup was divided into two, Fibularis and Anesthesia. In Fibularis, the committee held various sports and non-sports events. The competition was for the internal students in basketball, futsal, volleyball and swimming. While non-sports events were band competition, FK Idol and religious event such as adzan.

While in Anesthesia (Airlangga Medical Night Fest and Dekan Cup Closing Ceremonial) there were music performances and exhibition on disasters. In the exhibition, the public can see professionals involved in the disasters, survivors and pictures of disaster happen around the world.

The event ended well due to supports and hardwork of all committee members and academicians of FK UNAIR. “All members of the committee have faced the obstacles and we finished them by sharing and helping each other so we can finish all events well. Alhamdulillah all participants of Dean Cup are happy and it was a success,” added Naufal.

He hoped that all elements of FK UNAIR can be a solid team and the target to become a world class university can be achieved.
