UNAIR NEWS – POKDARWIS (Darma Wisata Group) is an institution established by villagers to improve and develop the tourism sector in their village area. It is also responsible for introducing the existing potential for the improvement of tourism in the village.
If you see a shift in people’s behavior patterns in the current digital era, where most of their time is spent surfing the Internet and social media, then, digital branding is the most effective and efficient way for promoting and improving the potential of rural tourism. Therefore, as a supporting institution of Tamansari Village, UNAIR Banyuwangi also provided POKDARWIS Tamansari Village with Digital Branding technique through an activity called “Training Marketing Campaign 4.0 “.
“Training Marketing Campaign 4.0 is one of the supporting programs in the Tamansari Village Incubation Program because we see that maximizing the potential will not be enough if there will be less if there is no branding effort, so we utilize POKDARWIS that BUMDES already has as the frontline in Tamansari Village branding,” explained Ahmad Rido’i Yuda Prayogi, from the committee in charge on Saturday, December 21.
This activity was carried out after Homestay Management Training on Friday – Saturday, December 5-6 at Tamansari Village Hall with the same participants, 30 people. The focus of this training is the utilization of digital technology with material including Digital Marketing such as website management and utilization of the local sector to be promoted outside by Banyuwangi POKDARWIS Head, Pak Sukir.
“The material is more about the use of the digital technology as media branding on the same day to the same participants of guest house training, but it is held in the afternoon,” said Yuda.
On the first day, Yuda added, it was filled with Digital Marketing material which included web management and on the second day, there was a practice and other presentation on the utilization of the local sector by the chairman of POKDARWIS Banyuwangi.
Yuda revealed that this training is expected to be able to increase the capacity of POKDARWIS to boost the popularity of resources in Tamansari Village.
“So after this training, POKDARWIS is expected to be the driving force to boost the popularity of Tamansari Village resources which have been optimized after a series of incubation activities ranging from coffee training, UMKM training, milk training to guest house training,” concluded Yuda. (*)
