UNAIR NEWS – Team building Olympics was held between faculties, institutes, academic staff, and students at Universitas Airlangga, celebrating the 68th Anniversary on Saturday, November 19, 2022. The downpour did not dampen their spirits. Cheers, fan chants, and blares filled Airlangga Convention Center.

UNAIR Rector, Prof. Nasih opened the event by sounding the spray horn and encouraging the participants. It marked the beginning of the festival of games. Some coupons were also distributed to the academicians for the prize session.

The Olympics consisted of a series of games, including a bulldozer race, balloon race, river cross, ball transfer, water transfer, and band competition. The events aim for academicians’ recreational events and to strengthen the bond of team members in designing game strategies.

“It was so much fun! I got to meet the Rector. I’m full and satisfied, so cool!” said a student from the Faculty of Medicine.

Each institute, administrative staff, and students even prepared a parade with marching band groups. It is high time for UNAIR to celebrate its anniversary merrily after two years of the pandemic.

UNAIR’s 68th anniversary was celebrated with events, including the university assembly done last week, tasyakuran, and the community festival. The next event, fun bike, will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022. All academicians may take part in the event and win various prizes.
