UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) took proactive measures to disseminate accurate information ahead of the 2026 National Selection Based on Exam (SNBT). During a live broadcast on the university’s official Instagram account (@univ_airlangga) on Friday, April 10, 2026, administrative leaders provided a comprehensive technical briefing designed to guide prospective students through the details of the upcoming examination process.
Examination scheduling and logistical mapping
During the broadcast, Prof. Alamsjah confirmed that the examination window is scheduled from April 21 to April 30, 2026. “The Computer-Based National Selection Test (UTBK) will be conducted during this ten-day period, organized into distinct morning and afternoon sessions,” Prof. Alamsjah explained. He further clarified that testing centers would be centralized at the Dharmawangsa-B and MERR-C campuses to ensure operational efficiency.
Notably, Prof. Alamsjah reminded participants that specific room assignments would be accessible starting tomorrow. “Detailed information regarding testing venues will be released between April 11 and 15 during the participant card download period; students can confirm their exact locations starting tomorrow,” Prof. Alamsjah added.
Academic transparency and scoring benchmarks
Regarding the examination content, Prof. Alamsjah emphasized consistency to help students streamline their preparations. “The test components remained unchanged from the previous year, encompassing the Scholastic Potential Test, Indonesian and English Literacy, and Mathematical Reasoning,” Prof. Alamsjah noted. Competition for admission remained formidable; last year’s data indicated an average score of 755 for the Faculty of Medicine and 700 for Accounting, highlighting the high bar for entry.
Prof. Alamsjah motivated candidates to remain optimistic while focusing on maximizing their performance. “Admission was strictly contingent upon the UTBK scores achieved. Consequently, students had to strive for the highest possible results, as this was a merit-based competition of intellectual capability,” Prof. Alamsjah emphasized.
Operational support and professional ethics
Dr. Siswantara underscored the necessity of discipline and strict adherence to university regulations throughout the testing period. He reminded participants to observe a professional dress code, viewing it as a preliminary reflection of their identity as prospective university students. “Avoid wearing t-shirts or flip-flops; please wear collared shirts and appropriate footwear,” Dr. Siswantara advised.
Concluding the session, Prof. Alamsjah offered inspirational guidance on the multifaceted nature of success, reminding students that intellectual labor should be paired with spiritual resilience. “Study diligently, but do not neglect prayer. Specifically, seek the blessings of your parents, as their support is highly meaningful,” Prof. Alamsjah concluded, encouraging participants to view the UTBK challenge as a pivotal moment in the character development of the nation’s future leaders.
