UNAIR NEWS – Universitas Airlangga continues to strengthen cooperations with universities in East Asian countries. One of them is Japan. After the Eid holiday, the Rector of UNAIR and his staff visited three universities in Japan.
The three universities visited by UNAIR officials are Hiroshima University, Kobe University, and Osaka University. The officials were welcomed by the leaders of the local universities.
Rector of Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Dr. Mochammad Nasih, said that his visit with the other officials was done to develop cooperation programs. The purpose of the collaboration is intended to accelerate achievement of UNAIR in the world-class university-ranking.
In the future, there are three collaborations to be established by the academic community of UNAIR and the three universities. They are research collaboration, research publications, and academic mobility for students and lecturers.
“Hopefully this collaboration can be a golden opportunity for UNAIR students and lecturers to disseminate research results at international level, improve academic atmosphere, and encourage the role of the academic community in the achievements of world-class performance,” hoped the Rector.
Furthermore, Nasih also expressed his appreciation to the local university officials who have welcomed his party well.
Among UNAIR delegation leaving for Japan are Vice Rector III for academic and research collaboration, Vice Rector II for resource and infrastructure, University Secretary, Dean of Faculty of Science and Technology, Dean of Faculty of Dentistry, Dean of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Director and Secretary of Airlangga Global Engagement.
